A Beautiful Boxed Invitation by Prêt à Papier

This exquisite three-dimensional flower wedding invitation comes to us from Reesha of Prêt à Papier. Here’s Reesha to tell us more:

Here’s a beautiful boxed invitation we did for our lovely client who was in love with roses. Her theme was all ivory and gold, and she wanted us to go with a floral inspiration. The invitation needed to make an impression as there were some VIPs and dignitaries in her guests list. She was blown away by there results.

See more after the cut!

I hand-drew each of the petals and perfected their placement for a layered look. We foiled the edges of the flower in a custom pattern to match the gold ivory theme. Each layer was cut and hand-assembled within a hexagonal ivory box with gold trims. The idea was that the flower be encased in this box like a bud that blooms in the hands of the recipient when they open the cover. It had a feel of the old fashioned jewelry boxes that fell open to reveal hidden treasures inside.

The invitation details were placed in the center of the flower. We kept the scheme simple with a gold on gold Foil stamping on metallic gold paper. The top of the box featured a custom designed monogrammed initials. The suite also featured a matching table numbers cards.

You can head on to our instagram feed @pretapapier to see a video of the invitation box opening up to reveal the flower inside, and that beautiful effect is all done with just paper! This invite can be customized for your own wedding in your theme colours.
