This gorgeous, colorful wedding comes to us from Monty of Open Image Studio, based in Columbus, Ohio! Here’s Monty to tell us more:
Jean and Jeff are the kind of couple a wedding professional dreams of. They had a vision but were open to new ideas, absolutely trusted their vendors, and were total sweethearts to boot! They were looking to host a colorful and intimate gathering of family and friends that would feel very approachable and laid-back.
See more after the cut!
The color palette featured bright, summery colors from coral to orange to butter yellow. SO fun! They also wanted the emphasis to be more on socializing and mingling rather than dancing. The special touches added to the event definitely reflected that! Some of the highlights include: candle pouring station, caricature artist, and pies! Reception entertainment was provided by a vocalist and pianist for a more subdued evening that didn’t focus on dancing.
One special moment that touched everyone was the playback of a recording of the groom’s 90 year old grandmother saying a prayer of blessing for the couple right before dinner. She was not able to fly from Taiwan for the wedding and this was a special way of including her in lieu of her absence. The prayer was recorded in Mandarin and written translations were provided in both Korean and English to guests as an attachment to the dinner menu.
Congratulations Jean &Jeff and thank you Monty for sharing! For more information about Open Image Studio, please visit their website.
