Todays real wedding, brought to us by Nicole Coppack of Behind the Curtain Events, Inc., is elegant, colorful and absolutely exuberant! Heres Nicole to tell us more:

The wedding took place at the end of September at The Prospect Park Boathouse in Brooklyn, NY. It was a gorgeous 75 degree day. Fabiola (Bride) and Paras (groom) came to Behind the Curtain Events with a vision of having an art deco meets rustic wedding and also wanted to incorporate both of their Indian and Dominican cultures into the celebrations.

See more after the cut!

They chose marigolds and bright fuchsia and orange flowers for the ceremony to honor Paras Indian background and we had a cigar roller to honor Fabiolas Dominican background. Guests were handed potpourri bags prior to the ceremony to toss over the bride and groom as they made their way down the aisle as Mr. and Mrs. The florals for the reception had more of a rustic element with the moss and bell jars and the art deco element was incorporated into their wedding stationary and table numbers.

They chose the book Love Poems by Pablo Neruda as their favors since it holds a special meaning to the bride and groom and its one of their favorites. The reception opened onto the terrace of the boathouse overlooking the pond and as the sun set the mood was very romantic and magical. You could not deny the love these two have for each other after listening to any of the tear jerking wedding speeches.

Congratulations Fabiola & Paras and thank you Nicole for sharing! For more information about Behind the Curtain Events, Inc., please visit their WeddingLovely Vendor Guide profile or head straight to their website.
